Early Women and African American Mathematicians in America

Many people know of the few well known women mathematicians (Kovalevsky, Noether, Agnesi), but few know that as the American Mathematical community grew, there were women and African Americans who made their way in this community.

In this talk lists and brief sketches will be given of these mathematicians, so that the question "can you name some women/African American mathematicians?" will be answered.
