Creating your first VRML file |
This will only work on the PowerMacs. If you have a PowerMac without a
network connection, then ask me to give you spheres.wrl on a floppy disk and
then skip to Step 6.
Retrieve the VRML file
- From the Apple menu, launch Netscape Communicator
- From the IUP Mathematics Department main page, go to

Simple Example: spheres.wrl
- Under Communicator's File menu, select Save As
- Click on the Desktop button
- Click on the Save button
Modify the VRML file
- From the Apple menu, launch Word
- Under Word's File menu, select Open
- Click on the Desktop button
- Double-click on spheres.wrl
- Modify the VRML file to create your first file
- Under Word's File menu, select Save As
- Under Save File As Type, select Text Only
- Change the name to first.wrl
- Click on the Desktop button
- Click on Save
View the Changes
- Under Netscape Communicator's File menu, select Open, and then select
Open Page in Navigator
- Click on the Desktop button
- Double-click on first.wrl
Making Additional Changes
- To make additional changes to first.wrl,
- Make the modifications in Word
- Under Word's File menu, select Save
- Click on Netscape Communicator's Reload button
