Western Pennsylvania is dotted with former coal mining towns, now only a mear shadow of their former selves. Our town of Laoc is modeled after these towns to look as they did in their prime during the post world war two era.
The purpose of this project is to allow a person today to visit a town of the forties via the computer in a 3D format, as this is no longer possible to do today. To aid us in making this town as realistic as possible, we will be using photographs of real buildings from such towns. We want to make this experience as realistic as possible and to convey the feeling of actually walking through a town in the year 1947.
