Student Scholarships
The following scholarships are administered by the Mathematics
Department or the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Students
may also want to review the university
undergraduate scholarships and the university
graduate scholarships.
- Willard G. Henneman Scholarship
for an outstanding undergraduate or graduate student in elemenary
mathematics education.
- Ida Z. Arms KME Excellence Grant
for an outstanding student member of Kappa Mu Epsilon, the Mathematics
Honorary Society.
- Arthur G. Morrell Scholarship
for a mathematics major completing the sophomore or junior year,
reflecting the character of Captain Morrell, a United States Marine
pilot and an IUP football captain.
- Mildred M. Reigh Memorial Scholarship
for an undergraduate or graduate student with junior standing
who exemplifies excellence in or potential for excellence in mathematics
teaching at the elementary or secondary level.
- Wienken and Associates Scholarship
for a talented sophomore or junior student in the College of Natural
Sciences and Mathematics.
- Barry Day Freshman Scholarship for Mathematics
for an incoming freshmen with a declared major in a program offered
by the Department of Mathematics who show potential for further
study in the field of mathematics.
- Rebecca A. Stoudt Memorial Scholarship
for Mathematics
for an undergraduate major in the Department of Mathematics with
an outstanding academic record, with preference given to students
who have had to overcome obstacles in order to pursue their education.
- James A. Boytim, Ed.D. Scholarship In Mathematics
Awarded to a senior in the Mathematics Department who is of good
character and who demonstrates the promise of future success in the
education profession.
